We tested two models of the M-Cross, the 88 and the 78, and a wide range of testers loved them both. “Amazing all-around, every-day ski for any condition,” was Mark Arsenault’s enthusiastic endorsement of the 88. The three-ski M-Cross family is a hybrid of Dynastar’s more freeride-oriented M-series and on-piste Speed series. The M-Cross line uses a Hybrid Core 2.0, which layers wood in three different alignments: vertically, horizontally from tip to tail, and transverse (edge to edge). Dynastar says the design reduces the amount of wood and glue used without impacting performance. Both models were fun to ride in all terrain, snow conditions and turn shapes. “An ultra-easy off-piste ski, but simple to carve at the same time,” noted Chris Grover of the 88. “Fantastic ski.”
