Made for adventurous women like Amelia, the Earhart powered through pretty much any condition it encountered: powder, crud, cookies, steeps. Even on eastern ice, this ski skated. The Earhart is a quiet, steady workhorse that uses Renoun’s patented VibeStop. The nifty dampening technology adjusts the ski’s stiffness to the conditions: stiffer on ice and at speed and easier skiing in soft snow and slower speeds. In short, says tester Lori Knowles, “she’s adaptable.” Renoun’s been playing with—and perfecting—this tech for several years, but only relatively recently slipped it into the women’s-ski space, dispatching an all-female team to create a ski that can fly, pop and plunder. Additional tech includes a progressive rocker profile, a semi-cap construction, two partial sheets of Titanal and a maple core that’s ideal for carving.
