Long before our little pandemic thing arrived, Club Med announced construction woes would lead to a year-long delay of the iconic all-inclusive brand’s original plans to open its first Canadian four-season village. As things turned out, the timing couldn’t have been better. A ribbon-cutting ceremony, now set for December 3 at Le Massif in the very powdery Charlevoix region east of Quebec City, will begin unending gastronomic delights, the best of local and international cuisine in three dining rooms—and an open bar. Included, too, of course are convivial Club Med’s ski instruction and guiding, child-minding and family programs, outdoor pool and Sothy’s spa, but also dogsledding, skating, sugar-shack experiences and Old World excursions to North America’s only walled city. clubmed.ca
