Everyone loves bacon. A renovation of Line’s popular Sir Francis Bacon, this new cut comes in two widths: the powder-focused 115, and the 108 that we tested. The 108 is an all-mountain, park-friendly freeride ski with a symmetrical flex pattern, twin-tips, and a versatile 17m sidecut. In the mix of powder, soft groomers and tracked-up trees and moguls we encountered on test day, the 108 excelled, receiving many comments about its easy turning. “The tips engage really well for the waist width,” said ex-racer Robin Moffatt. “It’s strong, quiet and manoeuvrable.” Like most Line skis, the Bacon comes loaded with durable materials, like a maple wood core for energy return, dampness and, well, because maple goes well with bacon.
