With a big sweet spot and a flex that’s easy to bend, the Origin 106 won friends easily among testers of all sizes and abilities. “A real leg-saver,” said Steve Acciaroli. Mike Bonner said the ski was “super surfy and easy to pivot in the trees.” And Chris Grover added he liked how stable it felt in big, fast turns. “It seemed to suck up everything in its path,” he said. The Origin’s do-it-all capability comes from a complex construction that mixes bamboo, poplar and paulownia wood, a central strut of aluminum, carbon fibre stringers, and a full wrap of triaxial glass. Skiers under 170 pounds liked them best, but most testers found the Origin an easy-going companion.
