On-Piste Cruisers

High-performance GS-radius turns

Ski Canada didn’t test these cruisers in the gates but most of the skis in this category have a racing pedigree, as do many of our testers. They were pushed to the limits to gauge the balance between raw edge hold, power out of the turn and user-friendliness. There is less interest in versatility here since testers pay close attention to agility, power and edge grip for these skis. The category is not expected to have a speed limit.

THE PLAYING FIELD
The Big White crew had groomed Squire and Exhibition overnight and provided us with a nice, friendly hardpack, with the option to occasionally veer off into the soft crud and bumps before returning to the Ridge Rocket Express. The weather and conditions were perfect on test day: full sunshine, no wind – and great terrain.
