Whether it was the curvy shape or the buzz around the test pit, just about everyone wanted to click into a pair of Fischer’s new Noize skis. The name comes from Noize Control, a thin layer of metal pigments under the top sheet that dampens chatter. Fischer says the technology helps keep a ski in contact with the snow without deadening rebound, creating precise steering with a lively feel. The on-snow consensus: when under the direction of an attentive, skilled and powerful conductor, these skis will have you carving harder than ever. “This ski is incredibly sensitive, reacting to precise inputs with an impressive level of responsiveness, leaving little room for laziness or error,” said tester John Hill. “If you’re looking to push your limits, this ski is a powerful ally that will elevate your performance.”

Ryan Stuart
Ryan Stuart has a ski for every possible condition and a jacket to match. Well maybe not quite, but the magazine’s Technical Editor has more than enough of both and can’t wait to test out whatever is coming next. When he’s not testing skis or writing the buyer’s guides, you can’t find him exploring his bumpy backyard on Vancouver Island. @ryan_adventures
