Some skis elicit unanimous opinions. Others, like the Dancer, split the field. Some testers loved it off-piste and in 10cm of fresh snow. Others liked it best when carving fresh corduroy. Some thought it was heavy. Others commented on its light weight. The one thing they could agree on was that the Dancer can cycle through different turn shapes on demand. That’s the multi-radius sidecut: a longer-radius arc under the foot and shorter radius in the tip and tail makes it easy to mix up turn radii. Construction includes a poplar wood core and two sheets of Titanal. That suggests that it will plough through chunky snow with stability, but also that skiers will need to bring strength, technique and speed to turn it. If you like skiing fast, give the Dancer a go and let us know which club you end up in.
