Noteworthy: Don’t Be That Guy

Reading Time: < 1 minutes

How did we meet up with ski buddies or family before cellphones? More important, how do you check your phone on the lift without worrying about dropping it? The answer, in retrospect, is obvious: the Action Sports Anchor. The bungee-style lanyard hooks onto a zipper pull on a jacket on one end and through a hole in a phone case on the other. Drop your phone on the lift, or anywhere, and it bungees back to safety. It works just as well as a safety tether for GoPros and other devices. Prevention is better than hunting for a phone in bottomless powder right under the lift. US$25; actionsportsanchor.com

Ryan Stuart has a ski for every possible condition and a jacket to match. Well maybe not quite, but the magazine’s Technical Editor has more than enough of both and can’t wait to test out whatever is coming next. When he’s not testing skis or writing the buyer’s guides, you can’t find him exploring his bumpy backyard on Vancouver Island. @ryan_adventures
