The Sender Free gave our testers the confidence to ski fast and take chances. The ski of choice for many of Rossignol’s sponsored freeskiers, it has a Titanal beam under the foot, a poplar wood core, and lightweight twin-tips. As big, heavy boards, on test day the ski was happiest with the throttle wide open, “but I could slam on the brakes at will, and wiggle them through tight spots,” said Colin Somers. Testing them at Backcountry Snowcats, Nigel Harrison reported the ski inspired confidence in fresh snow. “This is a true all-mountain ski that offers support on steep terrain and in variable snow, yet is quick and nimble enough for tight trees and rock gardens.”
