Volkl Secret 96 – Test 2022

SKI CANADA TEST 2022

VOLKL SECRET 96 * WOMEN * METAL ALL-MOUNTAIN

Volkl Secret Test22

BEST FOR: Strong intermediates through experts looking to improve.

Like the unisex Mantras, the revamped Secret 96 retains the all-mountain performance we’ve come to expect from the ski, but where the previous iteration was out of reach for all but the most powerful skiers, this Völkl is more forgiving. That change comes down to two things. One, instead of the same size sheet of metal in all lengths, Völkl now adjusts it to the length of the ski. Skiers can dial in their preferred stiffness by changing length. And the second is a new tip construction with carbon strands that add torsional, but not lateral, stiffness. The skis are agile and easy to turn, even at slower speeds, but hold on in hard snow and when bombing. “Very stable,” wrote Sarah Hauser. And Deanna Papineau said, “This ski handles it all. Not sure the boys can keep up!”

LENGTHS:             149, 156, 163, 170

DIMENSIONS:        135/96/119 @ 163

RADIUS:               14 @ 163

OTHER MODELS:    Secret 102

SUGGESTED RETAIL: $850
