There’s a bit of Superman in the Arcade 94. When cruising the groomers it’s more Clark Kent—easy going and predictable, ideal for strong intermediates and experts. But when danger lurks the ski flies like a bullet. “So easy to turn and cruise on, but when I hit the gas or weaved through bumps or trees, it always kept up,” said test director Ryan Stuart. “Fun!” Rossignol introduced the Arcade last year and the 94 is a new, wider addition. All Arcades share a design that includes tip rocker, vibration dampening and a rail through the middle of the wood core to stiffen the flex of the ski for more precise turning. The wide-body 94 excelled in the mixed runs at Revelstoke, which often included a powdery bowl, trees and bumps, followed by a high-speed groomer back to the lift.
