PACK LIGHTER

Osprey’s popular Kamber collection (Kresta for women) is specifically designed for snowsports—and things are getting smaller this season. The 16-litre and 14-litre packs ($130) are compact enough for lift riding to the slackcountry and beyond but they’re still feature-packed. We liked the super-designed avalanche safety kit pocket, dual-position helmet carry, diagonal ski carry (dual-option for snowboards), front-panel access to the main compartment and insulated hydration sleeve. Even the back panel fabric sheds snow and reduces ice buildup. osprey.com
